Ferrets, Taking their Work & Welfare into the 21st Century
Simon Whitehead, 2000
This book is aimed at the working ferreter rather than the pet  keeper. The first few chapters cover housing, feeding and welfare before going on to consider rabbit hunting in some detail. There’s also a useful chapter on ferreting and the law. Our chief reservation about this book is its advocacy of nose pinching and flicking to discourage biting, an unnecessary and painful  treatment guaranteed to antagonise the ferret.

Training Your Pet Ferret
Gerry Bucsis and Barbara Somerville, 1997
Ferret obedience classes are as rare as rocking horse teeth, but this book can help if you're sharing your home with a ferret. Covers nipping, litter training, walking on a lead, coming when called and travelling with your ferret. Lots of nice pictures too.
